How deposits and damage claims work

Understand security deposits, claims, renter responses and admin review.

Some bookings may include a security deposit. When checkout booking is created, EnjoyBoat records the deposit amount and status. If the owner reports damage, missing equipment or a late return, they may submit a claim with evidence. Renters can respond from their dashboard. Admin reviews the claim, evidence and policy before marking the deposit released, claimed or disputed. Provider-level money movement may remain manual during public beta.
